The Ohio Valley China Collectors
Convention
The Ohio Valley China Collectors Convention began nineteen years ago as
an informal gathering of collectors of pottery made in East Liverpool
Ohio. It was originally held in conjunction with the annual East Liverpool
Pottery Festival. Today the large convention has expanded to include the
most exquisite pottery made in the entire tri-state area! Our purpose is
to bring together people who share a common interest--passion--for
collecting the beautiful wares made in, and around, the Ohio River
Valley. Most of all, we're here to help you have fun doing what you love!

The Ohio Valley, famous for its rich deposits of clay and ample
transportation on the Ohio River, encouraged a prodigious growth of
American potteries. East Liverpool, once dubbed the American Crockery
City, is filled with historical treasures. The OVCC (Ohio Valley China
Collectors) hold an annual convention in East Liverpool Ohio every June.
Collectors of pottery made in Ohio like East Palestine, Sebring, Salem,
Steubenville, Wellsville, Carrollton, Crooksville, Minerva, East Liverpool,
in Pennsylvania like Canonsburg, Beaver Falls, New Castle, and West
Virginia like Wheeling and Newell, are welcome. During the course of the
convention new treasures are found at the auction; new information is
gleaned from fascinating guest speakers; and new friends are made, all of
whom share your enthusiasm of collecting. Whether you have pottery you
would like to share, or just want to spend a leisurely day looking at other
people's pottery, you are warmly invited to visit the upcoming Ohio Valley
China Collectors Convention.
The 2012 convention is being held on June 21 to 23
and we will be focusing on a bit of this and a bit of
that.
