Here’s the annual Christmas tree acquisition photo.  Tori is trying to catch snowflakes on her tongue as Andrew tows the line … and the tree … and Tori!

I’m continuing to manage No. 2 Paper Machine at the paper mill, making catalog and magazine paper (Esquire, Martha Stewart, Sunday paper inserts, etc.)

Bonnie is still working part-time for LL Bean.  It looks like she won’t be doing any work at camps this summer, so it might be a relatively relaxed summer for her.

Once you get on the LL Bean web site, click on “Explore the Outdoors” in the top center, and then “Customer Photos” in the bottom center, and look for photos submitted by Bonnie.

Old 1988 Mastercraft boat got sold.

We punished Bruce by making him eat some lobster and farm-fresh corn.

Tori (with short hair) on the first day of school.

Tori donated her 12” of hair to “locks of love”.

Tori’s Brownie troop at the Maine Children’s Discovery Museum where they stayed overnight.  That’s Tori in the front row in the “thinker’s” pose.

Andrew’s 8th birthday cake—decorated with horses.

Did I mention that snow came often this year?  I’m not sure if it was a record, but it sure was for the 20 years I’ve been in Maine.

She decorated her own birthday cake.  As you can see below in the early stages of decorating, this was her 9th birthday.

He had a swimming party at the YMCA with  his friends.

We especially enjoy the character meals in the park.  This was at Crystal Palace where Tigger and his friends drop by to visit.

Snow came early and often this year.  Here are the first snowpeople of the season.   Tori’s (left) is wearing Bonnie’s rabbit-fur bomber hat.  Andrew’s (right) is wearing a Portland Seadogs baseball hat—not real good baseball weather.

And here’s the new kitten, Jack.  We’re down from our high of 3 dogs and 5 cats to 2 of each.

A yearling deer that’s hanging out by our road … we've seen him dozens of times this year.  It’s not albino because it isn’t all white and doesn’t have pink eyes.  It’s called “piebald”.  Not as rare as albino but still 1-in-several thousand.

And here’s one of our last pictures of Cecil (sleeping at the bottom of the photo … that’s Callum above).  Cecil had cancer and had to be put to sleep before we went on our Disney World trip.

OK, OK, it’s been a year since I did  this.  What excuse can I give?  It has been a busy year as you can see in the photos.  We hope you enjoy the pics.  (Sorry, I overcompressed the photos, so they got blurry.  Just email if you’d like a hi-resolution version of any of them.)

New Stingray’s first launch.

We inherited a slide from one neighbor, and a floating dock from another.  Put them together, and voila!  Or should I say … splash!

Tori’s Brownie troop bridged to Junior Girl Scouts in a ceremony in our yard (Tori is 2nd from right in front row).

Bruce and his family came to visit in August.  They timed it right to be served by the ice cream boat that comes to our dock several times each summer.

And here they are kayaking (l to r) Sophie, Brianna, Bruce and Chrissy, Andrew, and Tori.

The Farmington Fair is a treat each fall for the kids.

And the now-traditional surf (lobster) and turf (filet mignon) New Years’ dinner (after which we go to sleep around 9 o’clock).

Tori had several friends go with her to the Build a Bear workshop for her 10th birthday.  Tori’s on the far right.

She decorated her own birthday cake.  As you can see below in the early stages of decorating, this was her 9th birthday.

We went to Disney for 11 days in April.

Andrew got eaten by a hippo  —->

And drove the Indy cars many times —->

Tori at the bat.  She decided out of the blue to try softball this year for the first time.  She’s enjoying it a lot (rained out today, that’s why I found time to put the web page together :-)
